It is hard to say, but not usually. He may have injured it. Taping is still a good thing to do since it will stabilize the leg.

Sometimes they do not have an injury and fall over. On the Back is bad while forward or to the side is better.

FWIW, I've had a couple with mild splay leg and they were able to stand, but unable to walk unless they had a towel or shelf liner for better traction.

I reread so I think you already know this, but is silkies porcelain ( self blue cream) both parents must carry both genes to get that, you wont get chicks with that unless the white is a self blue under her white. ( stranger things have happened then that)

That is good to know. I did wonder what I would get out of the white x porcelain Silkies. But we were talking about my d'Anvers, not Silkies

And that is why they will not be called porcelein when it is accepted. Its a totally different genetically then other porcelain! Self blue cream all the way.

There is a very interesting conversation on the name of paint right now and how some judges think it is not acceptable name and some do. That one is so interesting because of the dact the genetics are unique.
