I vote we do an experiment and feed all the porus egg hens calcium drops (chelated if you can get it)and see if it makes any difference!

Hmmm...where would one buy such a thing? I have liquid calcium on hand for eggbound finches, but I think it is outdated and would not really trust it.

and for people with experience in hatching eggs is there a pount of "over filling a bator?" i have my 3 that will hatch the 6th and i put a crested polish egg in earlier and it wont hatch till the 21 (actually did it as a birthday present for my bf, he likes chickens lol) so my question is will the other three be fine with that egg in there and two will that egg be okay when the others start to hatch?

So..... I caved at the feed store( I know I know I shouldn't have taken my daughters in) and let them get a few unsexed
assorted banties.

What are they!!!!!?????

I did the same thing last week. . I told my hubby he will have to go to the feed store for me, until chick seasons over. I have no chick willpower.

I'm safe at the feed store for another 3 weeks, then the bantams start coming in. I don't want to share has much feed I buy so no feed runs for DH.
