So I'm getting baby chicks! 6 Straight Run Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and 1 Cream Legbar. Woohoo!
I want to set up the brooder in the garage, but it gets really cold outside at night, and I'm afraid the garage would be too cold for them, even with a heat lamp. Of course, by the time I get them it will be the first or second week of April. Should they be fine to have their brooder in the garage by then? How do I make sure they stay warm enough at night?
Also, what size brooder do I need for 7 chicks? Been about a year since I've brooded babies
