I was lucky enough to get a couple of pullets from Chicke too and I agree 100% on "delightful & gracious" part! My girls ar definitley a wonderful part of my flock and give be gorgeous blue and blue-green eggs/ They are my grand kids favorites to eat.... Your pullets look like they will grow into beautiful young ladies too!
Beautiful. I love their big eyes.

is someone selling chicks at the show?

Walt
Hit all the wrong buttons with that attempt:idunno

Last year there were quite a few young bantam pairs, some juvenile silkies, and a few other juvenile birds. I don't remember chicks but they may have been sold before I got the teenager out of bed and on the road.

They sell young birds, but I have never seen chicks. It may be a new thing.

So far for this hatch, Group W33 has been the Champ!

I set 6 eggs to hatch and 6 eggs did hatch! They were in two tomato Baskets.

Maybe Kim should call her line of SG Dorkings Beef Steak Dorkings!

Also, they all have perfect feet and can you imagine more perfect looking SG Dorking Chicks?

This is a picture of three of them:

Oh, my goodness! They are beyond cute, Ron!

Quote: Hi Audio51, yes! isn't Candy simply lovely? Awww, so nice that our chicks are related.. My pullets are now going through the stage which I adore of being out of proportion with big feet, pinning feathers, and chick down still holding onto the tips of the brand new feathers, and always so inquisitive about everything that is new; which is just about everything : ) If you have any photos of yours, it would be so nice to see them.

I could bring some hatching eggs and few 8 week old juvenile barnevelders to sell at the Red Bluff show if anyone is interested. I would like them to go as pairs if possible. I have:

3 cockerels- 1 blue, 2 standard double laced
3 pullets- 2 blue, 1 standard double laced

My son also would like to sell his 7 month old cockerel that he has been raising. I can pair the cockerel up with a nice pullet the same age if needed.

Oh, don't do that to me!! We have a limit of 10 hens here in Anderson - I have 6 now & am keeping 2 from a group I'm getting on April 7th. If I get more than 2 on the 29th I'd have to sell the extras after they're old enough! I just wanted to make sure they won't be lonely with just two of them. This is, IF I get any on the 29th. Only if I find something that interests me, and they have to be sexed, so we'll see. I just love exotic looking birds.

I need to live on acreage so I can have 50 chickens. Lol!

LOL!!! Well....if we can't enable each other, who can we enable?

I would like to share some photos of my new BW Ameracuana chicks who recently joined our hearts and home. These beautiful, adorable chicks were bred by Chickee (Candy). They hatched on Feb. 14th : ) Couple of months ago, when I saw the photos of Candy's birds, I was quite taken by their beauty, but, when I finally saw them in person, realized that it would be very difficult to do justice to their mesmerizing colors through the lens of the camera. These chicks are beyond belief in person! It is such a wonderful experience to acquire birds from a delightful and gracious breeder lady.. Thank you very much, Candy!

You are so sweet, and I am really happy these chicks went to such a loving home! Great photography! It will be fun to see these guys grow up through your pictures. They are so funny right now with their whiskers that soon will be turning into beards. The feedback is really going to help me with my breeding program.
