I'm so glad! I like Buffy the bug slayer! :lau   Is Ellie still going in and sitting in the nesting box like she wants to lay?

Yes although I don't know if she's going in the nest box daily. Wednesday I saw her in there and was in there for like an hour. I heard an egg song so I went outside. The flock was in the garden singing back up and Ellie was on the roost in the coop singing the song. I looked in the box and she had been sitting on two Wyandotte eggs and an OE egg. So she faking. I've never seen her do that before.

@ronott1 -is that OE sex linked? if so, what are your thoughts? the U of A's gave me 2 blue and a splash :) Hard getting pics with mama hiding them.

@casportpony - Nice egg! and yes it's hard to keep up, this thread moves fast!

@chiqita - glad your friend was able to stitch her up. Crazy birds!

@lualshannon - I can't find your original pic, but is that some sort of Buff/ Blue AM? All of them are absolutely gorgeous! Just wasn't sure what color that one was! I'm a sucker for Blues!!

They should be, so if yours does not have a white spot, it should be a pullet.

Those are blue wheaten Ameraucana chicks from my flock. 3 pullets, 1 cockerel. BW pullets are cream colored with blue tails and wing bows and the cockerels are blue with gold.

Remember the IT chicks? Well, they're still in the office. I didn't want to bring the incubator back home over my bumpy dirt road.
And because we're computer geeks, we set up a webcam feed to stream to the local kindergarten. The kindergarteners already stopped by to see the eggs in person. There was much discussion on what was going to hatch out of the eggs. Popular choices were chicks, ducks, puppies or pizza.
My money's on the pizza. All the way.
This is so much fun to watch! Thanks for posting the link.
