Wominator
I'm not positive, but I think that the product that Twin Cities sells under the name of "Wominator" is flubendazole (Flubenvet). It's probably pretty safe, but I would want to know it's strength before giving it to my birds as I have found dosing errors on other medication on the Twin Cities site.

Trifen Plus
There is another wormer that says it will treat worms *and* mites, it's called Trifen Plus and it's ingredients are Albendazole (Valbazen) 30 mg, and Abamectine 0.2mg. Pretty sure abamectine is in the same class of wormers as ivermectin. These are pills and the dose is 1 pill per 2.5 pounds, which sounds correct to me.

anything you can add to water or what about a wormer you can add to food?

I also like the breed idea but they fight over treats so that may be a tough one to make sure they get

Quote: TSC wil have Wazine (piperazine), which is the *only* one labeled for poultry, but it *only* gets roundworms. They will also have Safeguard liquid, Safeguard paste (all are 10% fenbendazole), probably a Pyrantel Paste and if you're lucky, they *might have Valbazen (albendazole), and of course they'll have all of the ivermectins, lol.

Safeguard (fenbendazole) warning!
This says not to use during molt or breeding:

And congrats on the chicks!

Quote: Safeguard makes something for pigs, but I'm not sure how cost effective it would be to treat poultry with it. It's a 1.8% fenbendazole... I'll look into how one could feed that to poultry.

Not positive, but I think Valbazen could be mixed in water. Need to think about the amount per gallon. Laying hens, non-laying hens and chicks all drink different percentage of their body weight, so I'd have to calulate that or one could run the risk of giving too much to some and too little to others.

The active ingredient in that is Hygromycin B, which I know nothing about, but really need to look into.
