Wow! Looks great. Did you use parquet flooring?

Say hello to my (soon to be) babies! Top carton was free eggs, 2 Tolbunt Polish, 2 Welsummer, and 2 Japanese Black Tail Bantams. Middle carton is Welsummers, Marans, an Ameraucana(sp?), and an Olive Egger. Bottom carton is Trader Joes fertile eggs, I'm assume White Leghorns? Does anyone know for sure what they are? I think I had asked this before but I don't remember.

My incubator should be here in just a few hours, it's on the truck for delivery! Waiting until tonight or tomorrow morning to set eggs, I want to be sure it's working correctly and that I have it all figured out before I set eggs.

Don't be surprised if you find them ballroom dancing out there some day!
I have vinyl flooring on my coop floors as well. It's super easy cleaning.
Thats what I read I knew I would do it from the minute designed the thing. I may have to add a couple of removable lips to keep the pine shavings in the coop.

I'm looking at putting a solar pathway light and a solar boat cover fan into the roof.

Sure looks like you caught the fever.

I've found 21 days to be an eternity. Best of luck on your hatch!

Very nice, Chris!

What did you decide to do for the roof? Is your roof line slanted? Also, are you planning on putting a narrow board at the bottom front of your nest box? Without it, if you use pine shavings in your nest box, your girls will have a great time kicking the shavings out of the box. This is the voice of experience speaking!

Yes the roof is slanted 3 degrees plus a small tilt on the uneven ground leaning to the rear and the wall.

Will the light be on most of the night?

Des anyone here use alfalfa pellets? Ifnso how do you like using them ? I am considering making my own organic feed and I'm seeing it in a few recipes out there. In the summer I throw out a bale and they get plenty of veg table scraps since we're a large family.

I add rabbit pellets to my treat mix, they like them. It's heavy on alfalfa with grain mixed in.

I have both smooth and frizzled seramas. They are laying in between being broody, but if you need a frizzle rooster..............I have several.
