Considering planting a couple of small bushes in my run. Any thoughts as to what kind I should plant that would provide a little shade but not get "eaten"

LOL, that would be fun.

They are actually Silver Campine, a Belgian breed of chicken that is nearly nonexistent in Belgium anymore. Last I heard 8 of the 12 were developing. Unfortunately I couldn't send any extras. The girls weren't cooperating and we were on a TIGHT timeline to not miss the connecting flight over the pond.

It's kind of like the reverse of when Germany sent back our New Hampshires!
Its fantastic they are have a good development rate. How long did it take door to door?

No turkey pips but I candled 1 egg & its still moving.
So I let langshan mama & her UofA brood out for a turn about the run

Everybody was desperate for a bath.

I missed that question.

Was there an injury?
Just a little bit of dried blood on the their beaks it looked a little like they had injured the tissue just where the comb meets the beak. Nothing major didnt seem bothered enough by it to prevent them from doing anything. I figure it was the result of them digging or rubbing against the wire. Didnt look like fight wounds and both of them had it. My dels had something similar when they went outside for the first time but there was a bit more blood than them.

I use Vetricyn Gel for wounds like that.

They should be fine with the Neosproin type of ointments too. They are not supposed to have some of the pain killers though
