How do you guys clean our your incubators/water trays? I have

If you had late quitterz use something that kills bacteria. Big pusher of activated oxine here.
te name="juststruttin" url="/t/25/california-northern/51930#post_13652046"]Are you using that hatching tray?  Hopefully the mess in contained.

It was out to be cleaned snd did not get put back in! I had to scrub.
I have 2 questions I need help with:
I decided to feed medicated chick start. I just never had cocci when I did.
Now I don't have it BUT, if your feeding medicated and your chicks get cocci, can you still give corid at the same time?
Wasn't sure if it would be overdosing

Second question: I have the genesis for hatching and clean it thoroughly with activated oxine.
But the display window seem to have chick dander in it. Does anyone clean that out? There's quite a bit but wasn't sure if I opened that up if I'd have problems

Thanks in advance :)

I use canned air to blow the dander out.

It should be any time now.

My Daughter will bring them in.

I can't wait to see how the packing worked. I may take some pictures of it.

I called and the eggs are here and the box looked good, according to my daughter.

HELP!!!!!!  I think my meaties have cocci.  I have lost 2 now (one the 2 days ago and I found another just now)   I have also seen very bloody poop in the brooder box.  I have Corrid and I wrote "1 1/2 Tsp per gallon on the label, but thought I remembers that a starting does was higher.  I know someone has a link to this info in thier signature, but can't find it....:barnie

Powder dose is 1.5 teaspoons or 4.536 grams per gallon. Liquid dose is 2 teaspoons per gallon. Either can also be given as an oral drench. Oral drench *and* in waterer is what I do for really sick ones. Oral drench dose for poultry is 20mg/kg, which is dead easy with the liquid, just give .2ml per 2.2 pounds. I give really small chicks the smallest drop possible, usually from a 22 guage needle ( (carefully, of course). Powder is a little harder, but if you have a scale, measure 1 gram (200mg), put that in a 10 ml or larger syringe, fill with water to the 10ml line, shake well and now you have liquid at 20mg per ml. I haven't tried mixing the powder with water, but this should work .

Now that I know that the RCom will not maintain temperature and the Genesis will not maintain humidity in a non climate controlled room, I need to find out if there are any incubators that can stay stable in a room without air conditioning and heat?

That is a challenge!

Incubators usually do not have built in cooling, so the room cannot go over 102 for long periods. It might be more economical to put in a window air conditioner. The cold air should not bow onto the incubator though.
