Anybody interested in Silver Lakenvelder? I ordered a couple of assortment packs of Show Quality chicks and ended up with some Silver Lakenvelder cockerels. They aren't really my thing, anyone interested? Located in Gilroy. Willing to trade for ? ?? but I am trying to move them fast, fights are breaking out in my cockerel pen.

I also have an abundance of BLR Wyandotte bantams. Right now I am thinning the cockerels, but will be culling pullets in a couple of months.

Lakenvelders are very nice!

I hope you find a home for them.

Good explanation. This is one of my bantam BR. It should look like concentric circles.
He's gorgeous! Wow. I LOVE barred roos, but this little guy is super nice.

Here are my Trader Joe's chickies:

One of the all yellow ones has bandaid booties. One foot has slightly curled toes, one has VERY curled toes. Hope it helps him. The two at the top of the picture have some black spots, the three closer to the camera are fully yellow. The little one who hatched with the umbilical opening issue has closed up nicely. I wouldn't even be sure which one it was anymore if I didn't know it was the one with the black splotch on his beak.

Now fingers crossed that I get some girls!

You should have at least two pullets.*I cannot tell yet....

I lived in China for 6 months and attended the University of Shanghai.    This was back in 1987 so things have  changed for better or for worse.  When I was there,  we had to be very careful with what and where we ate.  We never ate raw vegetables because it simply was not safe because the water used to water the field was contaminated. On our way home, we had a stop over in  Hong Kong and I ate a huge salad.  I was dying for some leafy greens.

How we appreciate the little things... Like a salad!
My brother went about 5-6 years ago. He said there weren't many options like fruits and veggies because of what you stated.
Amazing how people can live like that

We hatch our own eggs all of the time. But it's pretty cool that these little guys had the odds stacked against them and were almost certain to end on the breakfast table. They just won the lotto! ...unless there IS a boy. He might end up on the dinner table:lol:
