That is an awesome looking Snake!
Yikes! That is too close!! Yeah, rabbits are heat sensitive! Time to give them the frozen water bottles to cuddle up to.yeah it's 100 here too. my brother was moving some scaffolding and one popped up about 2 feet from his face. My rabbits aren't liking this temperature either
Quote: We usually get one rattlesnake at the house each year. The little guys like this one are more aggressive than the big ones!
They are really pretty. We don't kill them. It has worked well to take them across the creek and release them far away from the house. We have never had the same snake come back. I take pictures of all the ones we have had to catch and relocate. That is an awesome looking Snake!
As long as it stays away from me.....
Natural predators are a great thing to have. The snakes will help with rodents and etc. They are really pretty. We don't kill them. Quote: It is pretty much healed over now, but I will put some vetwrap on it. The wonderful lady I met thru the FB page who took my OE Roo for me is working on some sort of prosthetic for it and said she ill give it a permanent home if it turns out to be a roo.
I ran the sprinklers ans they are all in the shade. I need to rustle up some 2 liter bottles to fill and freeze for them for tomorrow

Yeah....I had BCM and OE hatching in the same incubator. They always like to hatch in pairs (one of each type) durning the night so I had to guess whic was which some times. I think one pullet I have banded as being from a FBCM egg is actually an OE. They are nearing POL though so I should know soon.
Silver legbars? Those sound very pretty! Do they lay blue eggs? Any pictures?
Very cool looking chicken! And very lucky you resued her. Hope you figure it out soon!Hi Northern California Friends! Here are a few pictures of her:
I am a new chicken owner. We found our girl Annie living on a street corner in a bush about two weeks ago. I have been on here trying to figure out what breed she is. A few people have guessed that she is an Aseel, but feel free to give me suggestions if you think differently.

Trader Joe hatch update: LOCKDOWN day! The 2 that were growing on day 14 are still at it! Filled both trays; ran a small tube to one thru one of the small vents in the bottom for refills; laid both eggs on the hatching tray and...will now attempt to sit on my hands for the next 3 days...![]()
