California - Northern

I just want to cuss, cry, and hit things. I've lost two of my hens, and now our indoor-only cat, Buddy, has vanished. He's gone. I searched the house, my sister searched the house, my two brothers searched the house, and even my DOG searched the house. He's not there. His collar was found 3 streets down. We don't know how he got out. Even when he does get out, he wants back inside right away. We think he was stolen. He's probably being used as bait for fighting dogs...Why is all of this happening to me?
Sorry about your cat. Sometimes it takes them some time to come home.

The Silkie hatch for Cali Chick went very well. 12 of 13 to lockdown hatched!

The Babies jumped when I took their picture but I did get a couple to share.

Blue Silkies!

This is a close up:

Oh boy, are they cute!
How can give up all them peepers you hatch?
Oh that's right - they grow up, don't they? :)

Those silkies were a big hit with the family. Luckily everyone is very impressed with the friendliness of the Pita Pintas so I am safe for now.

Yes, I can't keep all of them. I hatched out several hundred this year and I am only allowed six....

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately I have a gut feeling that I won't be seeing him again. When he did manage to get out of the house, he never left the yard and always wanted right back in. His collar was found 3 streets down, not caught on anything. I've posted him everywhere on Facebook and he has over 150 "shares", but still no luck. We thought there was a sighting but it turned out to be a very similar looking cat that wasn't him. My entire family has searched the neighborhood and I've put up signs. I'm still hoping he'll come home, but I have a feeling he won't.

Hi Keeper!  Would love to visit your enterprise as I'm only 35 miles south of Sacramento.  You may call me at 209-327-2068 or reply by standard e-mail as I whipped out by face books and their allies which to me are unfathomable and not helpful nor necessary.  Don't need the inscrutable complications when we have methods which work.  Anybody remember Alex G. Bell?
Best regards to all,
Zooman

Was that me that you were addressing this message to?
Just want to confirm before emailing or calling. Thanks.

Anyone interested in f1 barred OEGB cockerels? I have plenty to go around.

They are starting to to fight, so I need to rehome them soon! I am also still looking to sell that pen of bantam AMs.

If interested, send me a PM. Thanks!

I'd bet it'll be back. Many times they hide for a couple days but make there way back. When ours gets out , even though she knows our dogs, she won't come to the door if they're out.
