sorry about that. it is rough sending them in this heat.

it's not hot *here* (high today was about 80° at most), nor in the plane they must have flown to CA in -- i'm not sure what the weather's like in the SE, from whence they came, except that i'm sure Richard (Jordan Farm) wouldn't have sent them if he thought the weather would be a problem.

the CL and isbar seem to be doing fine this afternoon -- the CL in fact, despite being the younger of the two, has already figured out how to escape their little mini-brooder when she's so inclined (i didn't want to put them in with the rambunctious four-week-olds right away), as sitting on top of it when i got home after work. smart girl.

Last month I found on CL straight run of chicks for sale. and now I am finding majority are roos. That is always my luck, LOL. so I am going to have sell them on CL or FB. when my daughter gets home I want to figure how to post pics with her phone. Or easier have her do it for me my Lav girls are doing good, 2 girls and 1 roo. from Miss Molly. and my other birchen and Icelanic and others I think are roos. maybe 1 or 2 hens from each breed. then my sizzles for my friends are the cutest little things. now off to work so i can support my habbit or hobby, lOLL

I'm glad the lavender orpington's are doing well. How is Suzy and the other Hens you got from me...

I am unaware of the exact amount of breeders of White Empordanesa in the us but with all the calls , emails and messages I have done I know of 3 others lol.
South Carolina ( where mine came from) Arkansas and I can not remember where Tom lives but somewhere out there.

Jason asked for pictures of the Partridge Penedesenca's so I rounded them up today. They are going to be a hand full! They are not like the EO Basque chicks....

Ron watch for slate color spurs. Luann mentioned the original rooster chick I got looked like a wheaten x partridge cross. She said the partridge will get slate spurs.
If my hen does not get darker legs I may use her to improve the blood line on my Crele's though it will take a few generations and more pens lol
