I have a FBCM cockerel and a FBCM hen and a splash Marans hen. Will be putting some eggs in the incubator tomorrow or Wednesday. I live 30 miles west of you in Newman. Have to wait and see what hatches in three weeks. I believe I am right in that we might get some blues from the splash? Kern
Don't know. Could be any number of things. Watch her close and separate her from the rest. Some others may know what treatments might be good.its coming from inside her nose. will she be ok if shes not showong any other signs?
Awesome! will you let me know how they hatch. Newman isn't that far at all.

Was it you who just cleaned your coops? Could be some left over caustic agent giving her problems.
Here is what Ive found on BYC about it

Here are Speckles (hen, on L) & GrayBird (cock, on R):OK, I'll keep an eye out for them. Sociable ones are fun, but I don't mind having a small pigeon aviary where they just get to be pigeons and let me watch, too. I can spend waaaaay too much time watching feral pigeons when I am trying to destress at work.
So my non chickeny husband actually knows the names of the breeds I have.
He mentioned the orpingtons, so I asked "do you know what other breeds I have?"
He named them off "Bresse, black copper Marans, blue copper Marans, and legbars (cream)"
He actually DOES listen when I'm rambling on about chickens![]()
