The first delaware is working on it still she is being followed by 3 more hybrid eggs and 1 silkie that have pipped so far. No body out yet.

Neal's hybrids that I hatched for him were very strong hatchers. They pipped, zipped, and popped out of the shell in record time.

It was the first one fully out even though it was the second egg pipped.

Both the del and the hybrid made it out late last night. I have 5 more eggs pipped with 1 or 2 starting to zip as I left this morning.

I think my temps may have been a bit low thus the slower hatch.

It is so cool to see new chicks hatching if I can fix the temp thing the next time things should be better. Ill take slow to hatch over no hatch.

Wow! Lots of new (and new gain) folks! Welcome to all of you!




Just wanted to share a couple of pictures of the Marans chicks my broody hatched from eggs I bought from @dldolan . The 2 blues and the splash are from her nice dark brown eggs. The 3 Black Copper are ones that I grafted into the clutch after the hatch. They were only a couple of days older and she took them in immediately. Very healthy babies! I am so happy!
