Golden hybrid 300's and a pekin

Cuteness overload!!!!

I had my first 100 % hatch!

Hatching for my friend like I do every year. These eggs are from 2 Splash Orpingtons that have incorrect leg color and what she thinks is a Black Orp roo. The colors are confusing though. With that combo it seems like all the chicks should be blue, but there is quite a variety of colors. Could they be "splits" to other colors? I know about being split with finches, but nothing about it with chickens or these colors. Some of the chicks actually have a "Champagne" look to the fluff. Any help would be appreciated!

oh its far to late for that. :) there's another broody duck behind her by a week or so and I'm hoping my Swedes sit on their respective nests soon. Almost 20 eggs a piece there. About to double my volume. :) I don't think this emote smiles big enough!
they will hopefully be everywhere =) please keep us updated on these, the cuteness will be epic.
I am having a hard time being patient... I've got ducklings pipping now, just trying to stay away from the incubator =)

Something strange is certainly going on there, because black x splash = blue. Period. If the black is split to lavender you still just get blue according to the chicken calculator. Maybe the splash birds incorrect leg color indicates something hidden in their genetics?

ETA: Maybe the black is split to chocolate? If that's the case, you get blue and khaki offspring!

Anyone using the Brinsea auto-turn cradle that has had issues with it?

I heard it "clicking" for a few minutes when it got to the full tilt last night. I keep it in my office with the door closed most of the time so I haven't heard that before; last night the door was left open by accident.
My last hatch was awful - 7 out of 21 local eggs. Temp & humidity seemed steady thru out. Temp was measured with a Spot check
I'm running another hatch for someone and a quick candling yesterday on day 7 showed several blood rings and multiple clears with only a few showing good veining.
Both sets came from local people who had good hatches themselves.

Any ideas?

I just got a dozen of hatching eggs in the mail, and after candling them, I am wondering what a detached air cell looks like. I think there may be two eggs with that problem.

Quote: Mauve, maybe? Just a guess, I'm not too knowledgeable in genetics.

Mauve is blue x chocolate. I'm thinking the black is split to chocolate and she's getting khaki (chocolate x splash) and blue (black x splash) chicks.

Khakis are quite attractive, so that would be cool (here's a pic of a European Khaki Orp):

Check the eggs. Usually a broody will not sit on unhatched eggs more than a couple of days. She starts taking care of the chicks instead.

It depends on the breed for me. BCMs can be very stubborn & late hatchers.

Thanks again for the advice. Candled the 4 this morning then cracked them open based off that. Liquid scramble. Bummer bit this is a good experience over all. 5 happy chicks and a big thanks to @birdman55 out of Michigan for the quick advice on the weak chick. And cup therapy. It is up and running with the rest. Definitely the runt of the litter so to speak.
Also 6 happy ducklings with 4 eggs to check as well.

Luckily momma doesn't let me get to close. I could just stand there and watch for hours
