California - Northern

Hi everyone! I've been trying for a few weeks to find a home for another one of my roosters. I got 5 Silkie chicks from my local feed store and 4 of them turned out to be roosters. They are almost 4 months old. I'm trying find a home for midnight. He's a really cool guy!
He's got the cutest greenish purpley tail and wing feathers. If anyone in or around Fort Bragg CA would like him please let me know. I've tried almost everywhere else with no luck. :-( TIA

They are nice looking!

I hope you find a home for him.

Yeah, she will be the first egg of the flock. Once she does lay how do I teach her to use the nesting box.

Put a golf ball or two into the nest box. They usually use the nest box though--It is instinct for them.

Of course sometimes they hide their eggs too and then it is like Easter!

Broody #3 hatched three chicks today (including the "slosher"). Tomorrow I will try to move them since the loft coop isn't really workable for chicks. Hopefully the integration with the three week old chicks won't be a disaster.

One of my French Blank Copper Marans is working overtime... 91 grams, big as one of my turkey eggs, whew!
Laid July 9th.
