Thank you so much, I got them at PETSMART and I don't think they are real healthy.... so I'll order more on line...I put them in with oatmeal because I couldn't find Wheat Bran, I'll get it when we go to town next....I put some baby Carrots in and they are already attacking them...
How high of sides should my drawers have? I'm wondering if when the bugs grow, I don't want them to get out.... And I need to know what size of screen do I use on the bottom of the first drawer?
thank you!
The chicks are EEs. Hatcheries call them by the wrong name.yesssssss, my local feed store got chicks in yesterday, and they got americanas, my favorite breed, i will pick up some today and once the mom recognises the chicks as her's i will move them mom and babies to my new coop, i will set up a heat lamp for the babies, even though they have mom it got a bit chilly here, we got some rain over here, yay!
I just use a simple Sterilite drawer to raise our meal worms in with a few layers of non colored newspaper and a couple of either paper towel or tp tubes for them to crawl around inside. They'll eat the newspaper. The worms and beetles don't crawl out. That is their little world and they are only interested in reproducing. We started ours from mealworms we bought at Walmart in the fishing dept. Cheap. 50 worms and now have thousands of them.Well, I just ordered more mealworms from Rainbow, I also ordered the bran from them, so I can't wait till I get em next week...
Now I just need to know what size of screen....
