California - Northern

Hey guys! I have some Serama and polish cockerals for sale! I need to get rid of them ASAP since I have to many roosters! Let me know if you are interested in them. I am about 30 min from Sacramento!

Got any pics of the Serama cockerels? Are they flat feather? What kind of quality? My boss is looking for a flat feather Serama cockerel or two but he wants good breeder/show quality.

They are flat feathered. I don't know quality at this point as they are 4 weeks old. I'll post a picture in a minute. They are $10 each.

What little cuties. Are the parents breeder/show quality? I'll talk to my boss when I'm at work tomorrow and see if he's interested.

Yes. There parents are from my friends flock. She has them as breeding birds. But I cannot guarantee that they will be show or breeder quality because not all birds produced by breeder birds will be the same quality.

I need some help from hatching experts.

I have been trying to hatch eggs from my own Rosecomb bantam pens since the beginning of the year, but absolutely no luck. I've mentioned it on this thread a little while ago, but I am still not getting any chicks. I've tried every incubation tweak I can think of (other than getting a new bator, I'm currently looking for one), and I'm doing research on genetics so see if there is a lethal gene in this breed, but I can't seem to find anything.

I did an egg-topsy on my most recent attempt, and found that (as always) they all seemed to die between day 17-20. And two out of the four chicks pipped internally, but never externally. There were no visible problems with the chicks themselves.

My 7 developing eggs from my 18 count hatch go on lockdown today. Humidity the last few days has been good. Im going to try cut down egg carton hatching today Do you leave the air cells up or slightly tilted in the cartons?
