California - Northern

To me the edge of Northern California starts as you climb north on 101 from Ukiah. The road narrows, hills turn into mountains and the trees take over. We live in Crescent City which is 30 minutes from the Oregon Coast; north of the mighty Klamath River and south of the wild SmithRiver

Yay, someone else from CC!

I lived in Mt. Shasta as a teenager, and every summer our swim team had a meet in Crescent City - do they still have the big indoor pool?

Contemplating selling a clutch of Swedish Flower Hen straight run chicks after (if) they hatch but only to NorCal or S. Oregon (I won't ship them, but don't mind driving a bit ). Could be as many as 16, as few as 4, from two reputable breeders (not hatchery stock). Any interest, send me a pm.
That is very good news!

I hope you get people that want them!

California can be broken up into a lot of different areas. A year or so ago on this thread there were maps of the state broken up by weather, fault lines and etc. It is an awesome State.

Going up the way you describe is moving from the Coastal bay area into the Sacramento Valley over the coast range mountains. The coast is also broken up into northern, central and southern coast too.

You are in the right place!

Welcome.

Is anyone looking for 2nd generation GFF Isbars. I won an auction and only 6 were delivered out of those 6 five of them are Roos. They have been living inside getting a ton of love. They are all super snuggly and will eat right out of your hand. I live in SF and cannot have these boys here when they start to crow. I have 2 black 1 splash 2 splash mottled. They are beautiful and super healthy.
