Got this pic of my hen...she really didn't want to have her pic taken. She's all spooky because she hardly has any feathers left, LOL. Moulting must itch!!!!

I think she might be a bit cold....her belly is nothing but a pin feathers.

Her daughter on the other hand is looking pretty good.

Beautiful :) so excited to get my eggs ...it was so nice talking with you today ;)

Wow, those feather colors are beautiful. Even the molting just highlights the feathers more. Very nice birds.

It is great to have you here!

Post some pictures of your BAs.

Quote: yes, you take them in. you have to have an appt. you have to have at least 18 chickens I believe to get the price of $2.75 per bird. Pretty sure they do all types of fowl. That's the info from summer time last time I took chickens there. I will be calling them in the morn and hopefully taking chickens in on friday if they have availability so I will let you know. :)
Quote: agreed, just a fabulous shot!

Still waiting for my chicks that I ordered in Jan. LOL I wonder if I will ever get em.
they left me a message returning my call at 7am yesterday. I promptly called her back and got her. which is the first time I have spoken to anyone. maybe just a call to them to confirm they did not loose your order or mailed your chicks to the wrong person or something. They dont do much over the computer so you never know

Teresa, sorry for the late reply. Jeff is right. My husband made the call to them and they wanted a $50. minimum. We sent them in with another farm, who does 300 chickens a week. So, he argued with them about the price and they agreed to do it for $2.75 each. I thought that they only did chickens. You can call and ask.
They have moved from their downtown Sac location to way out in south Sac. You have to call ahead for an appointment and get there early morning. They won't accept them if you're late. I'd never be able to do my chores and get there on time. Sorry I flaked out on you, Chiquita. That's why I sent them with my neighboring farm, since they go on a regular basis.
They do remove the insides. They used to remove the heads & feet, hence my shock. Pam, they DO look like rubber chickens! We told them to separate them, from the other farm's, by the 5 toes (Dorkings). Maybe that's why they left on the feet. The heads, I have no idea. Those are going to be piggie treats.
They do not package them. They do a good job. Hope this answers your questions.
