You have some really exciting projects Cheryl!
I'm looking forward to joining in soon right along with ya!
I like the tolbunt polish. I wasn't really a top hat chicken kind of guy a few months ago, but now I'm starting to appreciate their uniqueness more and more everyday. And you know I'm in love with the Brahmas. I got a email back from Dan Powell Monday. I asked for his guidance with continuing his breeding projects! His Brahmas are amazing! And I am definitely looking forward to get going on the blue/gold partridge projects very soon.
Those ML leghorns are really cool looking!
Finally trying to get caught up on this thread...wow it moves really fast, I'm just not able to post as much as I used to

Mike I'd be happy to talk about getting you started with my breeds. I need more good breeders to work with them...In fact I have gold partridge brahmas pairs now. And tolbunts & leghorns!

Wahhhh too bad you didn't have any Jubilee trios. hehehe I be all over that one. Woot! (or even the Mille Fleur)

I've decided I prefer to not buy chicks. Either starteds or hatching eggs lol.

I love your Jubilees (and Mille Fleurs) fyi.

Hope you have takers for those extra MF cockerels!
I do have mille fleurs if you are wanting to become a breeder of them....PM me

Quote: Certainly Crele. I think Rhodebar or Legbar is more likely, but I'm guessing as well.
I also got a package of Hatching Eggs today. I am hatching Partridge Penedesencas for Cooper12. Jason had them shipped to me in Woodland. For eggs, the local hop I have is pretty good. These eggs went straight to the Sac Airport and then to West Sac. From there they went to Woodland.

The eggs actually have aircells! and I did not see any floaters in the eggs.

I can't wait until they hatch! Ok, I will have to wait 21 days....

Congrats to both of you! Some are quite a bit lighter than I thought they would be. Maybe with their rarity, egg color has been lost.

Yes, no question the coloring is crele (one of my favorite color patterns, the reason I have CCL). But I think without knowing the source, you'd have to just call him a pretty barnyard mix.

Update on the B.O.B Egg and growth booster.

I put BOB in the water for all of my chickens this morning. I really feel for those of you with a lot of pens. It takes a bit of time to just get water to them right?

The chickens seemed to like it. The Pullets in the pen with the auto water system preferred drinking from the BOB water.

So far so good.

We are now down to 2 roosters in the coop with all the ladies. Samson- who I still need to re-home (know anyone that wants a FBCM of excellent bloodlines? lol) and Foghorn the bantam Wyandotte. Oh my word we all love that rooster. He is a hoot. He talks to the ladies, he protects them...he was even hanging out with them when they were cackling their egg song nonstop forever this morning. AND he talked back. He's crazy lol. What a good rooster. Too bad he weighs like 3 pound hahaha!
