In genetics- what role would a male with the blue egg laying gene do when paired with a hen who lays brown eggs? Anything?

Sorry, I made a pot of espresso in my Bialetti moka pot--the big one-- and drank most of it this morning. I am getting a bit hyper this morning. I might need to go burn off some of this energy, but I am going to have to make a tech call to Xerox this morning. I do not think I will be able to sit still through all of the hold time.![]()

Quote: Blue egg shell is dominant, so blue gene would be passed on. Brown over coat is dominant so that would be passed with a brown egg layer. The darker the brown, the more green the egg. You would need to breed with a white layer to get more blue. Aracauna has no brown. Ameraucanas had some brown layers in the mixup, so they usually have a bit more green to the eggs.
