Did anyone see those "Imported" orpingtons on rare breed auctions.com?

And Ron can you send me that link to that incubator you recommended me again please? Thank you sir!
I'm about ready to make that purchase and I wanted to do some comparison reading with your incubator vs a brinsea ova easy I think its called. Whatever their cabinet style incubator is. Can't remember the name.

Here is a picture of the Penedesenca X Cream Legbar chicks I took this am.  The light ones are the 2 roo, the dark are the 4 girls.  They look very similar to the Cream Legbars, eh?  The picture was super yellow so I photoshopped it and now it is too light URG, but it gives you an idea of their color.

I want some olive eggs!

very cute. there seems to be a difference for sure. did the other boys hatch the same? girls look the same as each other besides the variance on the head ( maybe light?)( really close though) sounds like they are mentioning differences in cream legbar chicks so that could even be from that.

Yeah, I will try to get a better pic. There are definite variations.

No, I wish I got pictures of boys from past batches. I remember them being darker than these. These guys are fairly light in comparison. Also, the dot on the head is not as apparent, but that may be because they are so light. The girls are fairly similar to each other but two have dots on their heads near their eyes and two are clean (similar to welsummer chicks). I will leg band the ones with dots to see if they look different than the girls when the clean faced ones as they grow.

I have no idea what I will be doing with the project in a few months from now, as I will be putting more CL hens in with my roo so the Penes will need to move out. Also, I am hoping to find a Crele Pene rooster since I lost mine last summer .

me too I will make my way down the hill towards you.
I am trying to figure out a new penedesenca thread and possibly a Website... Any ideas?
Hi Jason,

I would love to help you with this project!!! As you know I too am a Pene Fan. I will not be much help until after the X-mas season since I will be hocking trees LOL, but come Jan. I am completely game to help out.

I have an account on Weebly, which is where I host my websites. I am allowed 8 more site for the same monthly fee. We can host the site there if you want. Weebly has easy to use templates etc.... Here are the two sites I already have hosted under my account. You can see, the templates are clean and easy to navigate

I wanted to post a picture of my decease Crele Penedesenca Roo to inspire other people to help bring this incredible breed back from the brink. My roo past away last summer due to a broken leg so I don't have chicks or eggs available. However... I believe Jason will soon be able to hook you up with eggs and/or chicks.

RIP Buddy

I'm hoping to come by your place sometime at the end of the week or maybe the weekend. If that works for you?[/quote]
