Do these tail fathers look like a mini molt?

Oh my gosh, all the amazing photos from everyone today! Love the rainbow. And gosh, how cute is that puppy?!

Sorry about your duckling Amy.
I lost a chick last week too. :(

Ron, when you have time, could you post your bread recipe? I love making bread!

Happy muddy Saturday everyone!

Absolutely!

Edited to add: I worked on the recipe a bit. These things are always a work in progress...

Has she been laying a while? My ducks that have been laying for a couple months are starting to look a little rough. But I read that was good. Means they are a good layer. lol

Amy Beth,

Costco has Allertec. It is an allergy medicine intended to be taken every day. Take it at night. There are 365 of them in the bottle. I take one a day but in the spring and early summer I take one in the morning and at night.

Welcome to the world of Allergies! My oldest Daughter is allergic to everything they tested her for except Dogs, cats and a couple of trees.

Ahh yes forgot about those! My son and husband suffer from allergies. I am immune to them...was until I encountered straw hay and pine shavings. lmbo! Thanks! I need some relief!

Are Wyandotte eggs the same color as Orpington eggs? I find it extremely odd that my Wyandotte hen has never laid an egg for me. Since my Orps are young pullets and laying small eggs- if the Wyandotte eggs are the same color as Orp eggs- then it's possible she is laying. But if not...then I don't know what's up. The breeder had said she was about a year old and she was molting in August when I got her. Nothing would be wrong with her right? She acts normal.

Of course there is some variation from bird to bird and within the individual bird during her lay cycle, but this should help.
