I am never annoyed with pictures

Yay! I have a picture taking compulsion.

So do I...
It's horrible. I am a portrait photographer. People used to ooh and ahh over my pictures. Now I am so tied up with the farm stuff that I share pics of all the critters all the time and people just don't ahh over those. And I'm like wait...don't you know this is a high quality Buff orpington? Appreciate don't hate! lmbo!

Beautiful wellie egg. Where did you get your wellies from? (just curious)
She's my only Welsummer. I have 9 hatchery pullets from the feed store, all different breeds. Don't know which hatchery they used for the Wellies. Love the speckled egg!

LOVE seeing your pictures, and the fact that they're of critters makes them even better! The ducklings are so cute! Glad they arrived ok.

Old English Game. I forgot the "B" for bantam accidentally... so they're actually OEGB's.
And if you hear me say "BBR" or "BB Red" that means Black Breasted Red; that's their variety.

I had to look that up! At first I thought it was Olive Eggers but they look like Old English Game chickens. Very nice looking too.

What's the OEG hatch? Or is that a breed? (lol still learning over here!) Are the roosters some kind of game fowl? They are neat looking!

Deb , Emma is so nice.
It is still pouring here. looks like we had no power for a few hours.

Probably a good thing the pene eggs did not hatch.
The rain has ben Epic it seems.

Sorry for not using the quotes but I can't seem to get them to work.

I ordered PR 3 years ago. They came from Ideal and they are my broodiest girls, followed by my OEGB's. 5 of 6 PR's wanted to hatch for me, one even tried brooding by commity with an OEGB. I haven't found Ideal's birds to be consistant. Our first BSL's were calm and friendly, the one we got the next year are terrible feather pickers, bullies and flighty. So I can't say if their PR's this year would still be as broody.

When my daughter joined 4-H she wanted Quail OEGB's for showmanship birds. We were lucky and ended up with 4 pullets, they are the most amazing little birds. I call them my bomb-proof birds. They were handled alot when they were young, raised in our laundry room, and they can be handled by 3 and 4 year olds at our outings without worring they are going to fly away from the kids. They fly very well, a 4 foot fence will not keep them in. Our judge up here is OK with un-dubbed cockerals but a cock will be DQ'd. It is hard to find sexed bantams. The OEGB's wanted to brood also and I lent 1 to one of the other kids for her bantam Sultan/frizzle cochin bantam chicks. Took her over, showed her the eggs, she walked right to them, settled down and started to tuck them under. She didn't give a flip about the other birds outside her crate. Didn't know moving her might break her but it all worked out.
