Oh and Amy, you are doing good by picking him up and humilating him in front of the hens.

Super good vibes for your hatch Ron, and anyone else doing the NYD hatch. I'm still waiting for my slackers to pitch in and cough up some eggs.

It is? Kinda like with geese- in a way putting down pecking order and how I'm higher?

It's a sad day here. A neighbor's scroungy, white, terrier like dog got into our backyard this afternoon. It had our blue Isbar cornered in the garden. I yelled at it and our dog chased it to the fence where it squeezed through a 4 in. high hole. We blocked the hole and began checking on everyone. Astrid was scared but seemed to be okay but Monet's favorite white Polish, Marshmallow, was missing. We found a few white feathers on the ground but our Coronation Sussex was missing her tail feathers so those could have been from her. Maybe the dog came over, snatched our Polish, carried it home through 2 yards, and then came back for seconds. Why is it always the favorites that bad things happen to? RIP Marshmallow!

Yep. It shows him that you are above him in the pecking order. Carry him around for a while while he sees the hens doing their normal activities.

Not luck on hatching the eggs that were given to me :-( and probably to old now to try and hatch
