RON! Yes I will share my news here too :) I confirmed recently that I am expecting my third and probably last baby! I surprised my husband for Christmas by telling him and he is thrilled

I am just hoping I get just one baby this time around and not TWO. As precious as they are and as much as I love them, I cannot do another TWO BABIES AT THE SAME TIME!! I might just die from exhaustion!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a spectacular New Year!!

What a blessing! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy, easy labor, and ONE healthy baby!

i will be getting (whenever it is that they start laying!) a good range of colored eggs already, from creamy to brown to darker brown to blue to possibly olive from my Amelia (CL x pene) -- but if i were to get a roo, i think i would like him to be the same breed as at least one or two of my girls -- so that probably means CL or basque, of the kinds of roos that you have (the other breed i'd like to have someday is the swedish flowers, but i don't have any yet). but aren't CL roos supposed to be extra noisy?
I have not had enough CL roos to know if they are extra noisy. Is that the general consensus? My Basque are much better layers than the CL and the eggs are bigger .. just saying. I have 3 12 week old Basque Roosters available. I am planning on keeping one, the others will be picked up by my rooster guy next week, so if you want one let me know and I will hold on to a nice one for you.

thanks Deann -- I will mull the pros and cons of having a roo (i've already become persona non grata with my neighbor, so not sure it would make much of a difference, but i also don't want to further enrage him!) & get back to you in a day or two. it's greatly appreciated!! if i DO get a roo, priorities would be 1) friendly/non-aggressive (which i suspect applies to all of your birds, with how well you raise them!) and 2) not insanely noisy.
