Had my wife ship my bird box to my friend. I am getting another white empordanesa rooster.
They charged her $38.00 to ship a empty box to Arkansas.
I could of bought the same box and had it delivered to him for 20.00
Can not wait to see what it will cost to get him back with the box.

Cheryl, hope the new doctor gets you back up and running! I've seen people coming through market that could barely walk and after surgery they do so well. Sending you happy thoughts.

The girls all get warm mash tomorrow morning. The feeders were getting full of powder so it's all sifted and ready for the morning.

My bantams all got pedicures today also, can't do the big ones alone but their turn is coming soon.

hmm.. Amelia the CL x pene has always been a bit more reserved than the other girls, but she's not acting right today -- i just got home to let everyone out for an hour or so of free-ranging, but she stayed in the coop, making some somewhat forlorn-sounding chirps, and is mostly standing around very hunched up. i offered her some freeze-dried mealworms, and she gobbled them right up, but otherwise does not look happy/comfortable. not puffy-looking, though. not sure what might be up... (she's 21 weeks old on thursday)

Oh no, Sounds like Cocci. I would treat for Cocci. Use Corid or Sulmet, both are effective and she should feel better in a couple of days.

As promised, here is a picture of the 4 OE (Cream Legbar X Crele Pen) X Polish cross chicks that hatched yesterday.

They hatched with out crests but I am sure they will get crests as their mature feathers grow in. I am keep em, so I will get pictures as they develop.

Welcome back

There is a recall on some of them. Is that the bottom of it?

I don't know anything about how well they work.

Maybe someone else knows?

Wow! I have online stores for my businesses and it shouldn't cost that much unless the box was oversized and they can be oversized by an inch one way. If you use usps.com you can calculate ahead of time, probably save you some money.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON! Wish I some creative, jumpy, splashy, firework thingy to add......oh, wait....

OK, not so festive but FYI, don't do a search for Happy Birthday chicks......not so BYC appropriate....anyway, hope at least one of your chickens lay a golden egg today!
