California - Northern

Japanese Coturnix... Jumbo and Golden.

I can't believe how fast quail grow... They have tripled in size in one week...Crazy!

Deb, I have three different colors? Does that mean three different kinds?

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to get a Livestock Guardian Dog pup for my farm from a town in Northern California by Redding. I am in San Diego and am looking to train/ caravan this guy down here. It'll be in about 8 weeks from now. If anyone can help or has any ideas can you please PM me.

Thanks!

I have a friend on the East coast that has a LGD and very involved with the breed. I'll see if she has any contacts that could help you transport.

OK, so how do you see it's someones birthday? I only know when someone says Happy Birthday......Happy Birthday Chooks!

On the alfalfa, we have horses so they have full access to the hay and the isle way in my barn shows how much they love it. We feed straight alfalfa and beardless wheat/rye grass. The chickens actually like the beardless wheat/rye grass better. All but my Polish free range and have access to the barn so I clean up the mess the free rangers make and throw it in the Polish pen and they spend days on it.

still a bit mopey-looking, but she did eagerly eat some cracked corn out my hand -- and the weather here is truly bizarre: in the course of about 90 minutes it's gone from low 50s & overcast/misty to pouring rain to now windy and brightly sunny, and *cold* -- the temp has dropped 10 degrees in less than an hour -- and forecast says there's a chance of snow flurries up here on the mountain tomorrow. hope the chicklets all snuggle up together to stay warm!

thanks for asking!
oh, glad she ate a bit today. Good sign. Hopefully she will feel even better tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Yes, weather is weird!!!
