That is great!

When I hatched eggs for Papa Brooder, those did not hatch. One day I have to try again with Jubilee Orpingtons!

They look like the chickens in the weird chicken dream I had, where I was smuggling hatching eggs out of China.

It is sad when you dream about stuff like that......

It is always exciting to have chicks hatch! The picture is great because I have seen chicks helping on of the others hatch by pecking at the shell!

Did one hatch yet?
Still just the two pips, the second one is trying to zip. Worrying about the first pip, not much increase in breaking the shell. Trying to get humidity up a little higher, it's at 65%.

I think I need to throw a party, a 100 ovation party! It makes me happy to read what they say when you reach 100:

Of course I need to give more ovations...

I think I will make myself some cup cakes tomorrow.

Quote: 65% should be ok, but 70 to 75% might be better. They often go 24 hours after the pip. Start worrying about it after that. There is a guide from Sally Shunshine for helping.

I have been known to help them. For me it is a bit better than 50% successful.
