I have 3 roosters- only 1 lives with them. He is a bantam. Tries to mate but he can never 'connect' past their fluff. I have 2 other roos who only occasionally get past my bantam. But I am going to pen them for now. Bummer for them! LOL
My Buff roo is fat clumsy oaf. Whenever he tries to mate- he just horrible at his uhhh finesse. Meaning he has none at all. I'm sure it is him. He is the one that likes the Buff girls.

Get the brightest led flashlight you can get. Check out the Lumens and use fresh batteries. The one I have uses 3 AAA batteries. I also have a High intensity Brinsea candler.

The Brinsea shows the veins on this Pinta Pita egg at 5 days. Do you see the veins?

I'm just sitting here in a bit of shock. Whomever was asking about who got the moss green eggs that was Karen. Such a lovely woman working so hard on her dream.

Cheryl if they pass on the need for any help let me know. It seemed lime more people asking would not be helpful right now so I'm just posting it here.

On my bantam egg- one portion of the egg was dark. I couldn't see anything passing through not even light. On egg #3 half the egg was dark. I cannot see through them as well as here. I need to do this at dark. I had to do it in the coop because that's where the broody is and I was trying to block the light out with a dark towel but it was still hard. ahhh I have another idea- I should go try it. Betty is going to get annoyed and abandon her eggs lol.

Sarah/mycutekitties and I are offering to help take the birds to the ranch and care for them if needed. Based on the families needs and wants we will be helping.
