4/4 EEs (3 surprise chocolate, 1 buff colored) 4/4 LF BLRWs (2 splash, 2 blue) and 5/6 bantam BLRWs (4 splash, 1 blue) hatched.

One of the Dorking X pullets laid an egg today!

The eggs are, from left to right, Dorking X, SG Dorking, Dorking EE, Partridge Rock(for mike to compare to his) and Blue Marans.

Now I need to get the first egg from the Partridge Pene.....
You may be waiting awhile. They are slow to start but then are good layers. My 2 white emp's just started laying. 7-8 months old

LOL, so far a presents over the last few years... I've gotten a lawn mower, a leaf blower, weadeater, and shop vac. I love getting useful gifts that make my chores easier. Pens are finally finished!

Now I just need to backfill the dirt & cobbles on top of the wire surrounding the outside edge, and put sand inside each pen.

From the pictures I've seen, you have an amazing place!!! I have to buy all my own tools. My husband refuses. I think he wishes I was more of a girly girl. LOL I bought myself a chop saw for X-mas last year and a compressor this year. Now I need a staple gun and i'll be able to build coops and runs like a mad woman.
