I do not toss with Ivermectin. I do not sell them or give them away because there is a small chance that someone may be allergic to it. It's the most commonly prescribe wormer for Humans with round worm. There have been a lot of posts about ivermectin not being effective any more but I do not believe it. It sounds like pharma propaganda. Mine tested worm free 10 days after treatment.Another dedicated lurker saying hi. What a beautiful day today. Love all the pics of babies hatching and sad to hear about the losses. Best wishes for future hatches and also prayers for family members dealing with cancer.
I also have a chicken health question. My small flock of almost 1 yr old chickens have had very watery stools for a few weeks now. They are eating and active, laying a bit sporadically, and have no other symptoms except one with a poopy butt. Do you think this is worms? I have injectable Ivomec for cattle/swine and wondered if this the best to use or should I get something else? Also, during the withdrawl time, do you toss your eggs, or can you feed them back to the hens or maybe to the dogs?
Have a Fecal Test to see it they have worms(they probably do). UCD Charges $10.50 and they got the report back to me in 2 days. Fill out the standard submission form and say fecal test for worms and coci. Mail in the sample, double bagged of course. IF Round worms use ivermectin. If Tape worms use one recommended for them.
