I'm glad they're confident that at least one isn't cancer and glass half full is definitely the way to go here. I know I'm very much the new guy here but seeing all the love and community in this forum and thread in particular makes me very happy I joined.

Wow, 200 hundred eggs and man I was drooling over those jubilees so gorgeous. Of course you need to have auctions now when I don't have an incubator set up or a broody hen lol.

I will ALWAYS have eggs. You have my phone number!

This little gal came from you, Ron. Her name is Bumblebee. ;)

I love Bumble Bee!She is the one that used to think she had the right to come out of her cage and visit with me. She is very cuddly that silkie!

Time to get that brooder going and start looking for reclaimed wood for those grow out pens...We will get you into shape very quickly around here!

OR4-Hmom, on Papabrooders site I didn't see BLRW, so I might be hitting you up for eggs in few months, if that's okay.

I have an incubator question. Before I joined you all I wasn't even thinking of hatching eggs! And now I can't wait to start. Tsk. Anyhow, I like the look of the Brinseas a lot, and was looking at the smaller one. But don't most people sell hatching eggs by the dozen? For this reason it seems silly to buy one that can only hold seven. They do have the Octagon 20, which looks great, but doesn't have a humidity control. How does that work? Does anyone have one? Is the manual turner alright or is it worth it to get the automated? Is there a different brand you would recommend?

Some general questions about incubators (and I'm scouring that section of the boards, too) do you have to keep an area of your house heated at all times to incubate eggs? A little fuzzy on how that works. And what do most of you do with the extra cockerels? I like roos, but after a certain point its just too many.

I highly recommend Brinsea's Octagon20 Advance EX model, it's the whole package: turner cradle, incubator and humidity pump.

And somehow this iPad knows I have three of these incubators... Sorry for the multiple posts...

Nope, I haven't ordered the incubator yet. I need to figure out how to build or modify one that will work for both reptiles and chickens. But I have lots of stuff that can work for brooders now I just need more grow out stuff. Thankfully I have enough room for the 3 girls I have now.

Just want to say all your prayers mean so much to me. I feel your prayer are working..

The breast specialist feels very Confident that it is NOT cancer. She will most Likely be removing a glad and or a duct. Not sure yet.
We are awaiting some results from the other specialist. I'm going to get another MRI or CT scan to see if the tumor on my Pituitary gland has grown.
Time will tell. I left the Doctors feeling " glass half full"
Thank you again for all the wonder thoughts and prayers.

We'll be praying that the tumor on your pituitary gland has not grown and in fact has shrunk! I just had a close friend of mine go through treatment for esophageal cancer which is the 3rd deadliest cancer in the US. The oncologist gave him 3 months to live without treatment and 6 mos to 1 yr with radiation and chemo. He went through radiation and 2 rounds of chemo. Today, 5 months later, 2 different doctors have proclaimed him cancer free! All of his friends were praying for him and are thankful to God for the results. Do I believe in miracles? Definitely YES!

I think that 200 chicks is just what you need to keep your mind off of your health issues! If I had an incubator, I would be doing the exact same thing!

I want to thank you and all of my Chicken Obsessed friends...I DO believe in Miracles. That is awesome about your friend. Prayer, loving family and friends are key. My Mom does reiki treatments on me. I know it's helping. I agree with you on the 200 eggs keeping my mind of things. I currently have 50 + hatching in the hatcher! Crazy Me!
