Good(?) morning all
Tragedy struck in my chick nursery last night. All of the chicks are active and eating/drinking except the 5 golden campine girls. 4 of them have died, one is still holding on, but I don't have much hope for her. I think it would have been better if the hatchery had substituted Lakenvelders for all of them, not just 5. I called them this morning and left a message, since there is the 48 hour window to alert them to problems, so hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow morning. Sad, sad, sad..........![]()
I will see if I can convince Duckie to drive over to Guinda to get some farm-like atmosphere.

I have had that happen with shipped chicks before. The cold hurts their organs and then they do not make it past three days. Most Hatcheries will either refund or reship.
