The long awaited breeder pen now has birds in it. I told Eric if he wanted clean pictures he had better take them now.

Our little helper.

Everyone needs a frisbee when building, right?

Good Job!

Nice helper too...

We got our first egg today! The friend who I adopted the three hens from last night said it may take them a couple days because of the stress of moving but our little silver mutt girl laid us a lightly blue tinted egg! So very excited

I bet that egg was already "in the chute," so to speak. (eggs take about 26 hours to be "built" and the last 19 hours are required to make the shell)

Don't be disappointed if there's just a little hitch in the get-along after today.

And if there ISN'T, well that is way cool!

I moved the four Crele Penes that hatched last night to the brooder. I candled the two remaining eggs and one still had a moving chick in it! It looked to be in the correct position so I will leave it alone. No pip but this one will probably hatch at 2:30 am and keep me awake too.

Pictures of course!

Ok Crele Pene Experts, What do I have?
