Aarg!
I lost all my multis. Ron you need to come here and mojo all my incubators. We should rent you out.

My boss/mother was here for a 2 day shopping trip( business) so we have not gotten chick pics. I am exhausted and can not make another decision about anything. I saw paintings and decorative accessories in my sleep last night.

But more exciting news I got my first turkey egg yesterday! Pretty sure it was pumpkin, it was more red then stuffings hatching egg.

Stuffing is definatly looking for a nest however mario got a great picture of her crushing all my flowers in the front of the house and cooing. She went over to the easement several times as well. Little bugger is going to try and hide them I can tell.

It was roo processing day yesterday and now it was much quieter.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Next time I will send you a PM first--It is not good two waste multis!

Congratulations on the Turkey egg! Are you incubating it or eating it?

We started building the coop yesterday! Got the site level and the floor framing done. We're building it up off the ground so we can put a trailer under it when we move (which is not in the near future, but we're renting). It's so exciting! Would be more exciting if I didn't already need a second... This one will only hold about 20 chickens :/

Hope the build goes smoothly! The trailer is a nice idea. :)

Haha!
I have been finding eggs everywhere. My new Stockton showgirl just started to lay I'm so excited! She sat in the dog crate all morning . Of course that is not the expected place either.....

Help! One of my girls is making a lot of noise. Almost crowing! How do I stop it?
Do you have a surprise roo?

I have a couple that squawk a lot in the morning. They stop when I give them their greens. This morning they got chopped Bok Choy stocks and a couple of bunches of Spinach.

Sometimes they start making more noise when they reach POL(point of Lay). My Black Australorps do not make noise. The noisiest ones seem to be the Dorking Crosses. I named my SG Dorking Screaming Mimi - now just Mimi. She is almost a year old and is much quieter now.

Luckily they won't make enough noise to get you in trouble in Woodland--Crowing does though. Can you post a picture of the one that may be crowing?

My Wellie has not laid since we moved last winter, as far as I know. (She is notorious for hiding her eggs) She started squatting again about 10 days ago, and guess what we found a week later?

All 4 so far have been long like that, but they are more round and getting darker, again. Love my wellie's eggs!
