You know me! I will be giving it the best shot I can!

I sent a pm. hopefully we can get them shipped better in the future. The person is really great so I hope we can get the shipping down--It would be a big help for their business.
You can share these pics with them if you want. I took these to show another shipper how to pack better . Sad thing is... he went and sent me store bought eggs the second time..

2 chicks out this morning and they aren't the 2 that pipped first yesterday! I got up several times during the night to check on them. The first 2 pips had zipped about 2/3-3/4 around by 2 AM but they haven't made any progress since then. Almost all of the eggs had pips at that point. Then when I got up at 6 this morning, 2 other ones had zipped, hatched, and were drying off! All of the eggs have pips and some are working on zipping! I sure hope the first 2 make it out! Go, chickies, go!!!

Sorry to be so upfront and skip niceties but I was woken up this morning by my normally quiet frizzled bantam chochin Zsa Zsa being unusually loud for a long period of time. It wasn't the standard "I laid an egg" sound that I'm used to in the morning that only lasts a minute or so. This is is rather drawn ouut and has lasted about 45 minutes off and on. Yesterday I moved our three adults into their new coop and run and placed a smaller prefab coop and run next to them and moved our 6 week old hens out next to them so they can see them and get used to them. Zsa Zsa made some noise when she first saw them but then at night everything was fine. I don't know if it's because of the chicks or what but she won't stop this morning to the point where I stumbled out of bed and squirt her with a spray bottle. I live in town have neighbors quite close, any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Silly chickens!

The are working out the pecking order and she thinks she should be the boss!

It is not a good idea to move them together if the new ones are not 3/4s the size of the big ones--12 to 16 weeks old. If you get a flock block, you can distract them. Maybe throw in a head of cabbage too!

I always wait until 15-16 weeks to integrate them, especially if your flock is not large. I find that if I have a large number running around, they don't notice a few more added!

I had an added benny of having had a broody. We had 7 chicks running around with the broody. When my other 16 or so chicks were 4 weeks old I kicked them out to the coop. I locked them in the run during the day with the 12 week old silkie chicks. For 2 weeks. Then Monday I opened the door to the run and alllllll the chicks came flyin outside. My current grown up flock (16 adult chickens) totally accepted them. Blew my mind. I know it helped that there were already 7 chicks running around outside. I'm so thrilled with how integrated my flock is with what feels like so little effort. The it's so adorable to see 25+ 6 week old and 14 week old chicks free ranging. They seem to know to stick close to trees and bushes for the most part. Chickens are pretty smart. :)
