Ok I'm gonna hang out at church after the service and use their wifi to upload my pics. Lol see what you all have done to me!!!? Bah ha! Now I have to figure out how to narrow em down so I don't bomb you all with like 25-30 pics :s

I went to the Small Animal Exchange in Orangevale today. I took 7 of the Bresse but did not sell any of them. A lot of people were intersted but they did not know what they were. Next time I will have information printed and bring Business cards. Janet suggested that I put an ad on Craigs List letting them know I will be at the exchange and what I will have.

It was a lot of fun! My Middle DD bought a Rabbit:

CapayValleyChick was there and I got to see a Rooster that I hatched last year!

The next Animal Exchange is in May.

Thats looking great! I downloaded the materials list and pictures for my husband and we went and bought wood today. I am going to raise it a little so I don't have to bend as much. Bad back. I like the nesting box you are doing on the side. I think we will add that also. Thanks for posting it.

OK all you enablers out there, I was asked today about white peafowl. Any info would be appreciated, she's willing to hatch eggs. I looked in the BST section here, can't imagine first time owners are going to pay 450 for a pair.

Our first baby just hatched!!

). There are 10 other pips!! None of the store bought eggs have pipped, I wonder if they'll take longer. I have to admit this whole process has reminded me a little of being pregnant and giving birth, but without the physical discomfort. The two eggs next to the one that hatched are the most active, which makes me wonder if there's a hot spot or something. They have been moved around during their incubation, though, so not sure.

The sweetest chick I have ever seen

I'm feeling a little worried about the one next to it. It has that big piece chipped away and I can see it moving, but it has that off colored spot on the membrane. How normal is that?

Anyway, I'm unspeakably excited and in love. I'm uploading videos to YouTube so I can post them, although the commentary is probably shrill.
Congrats on your hatch and helping out the chickies in need. I agree, it was incredibly stressful but exhilarating at the same time. My store-bought eggs were a day or two behind the other eggs in hatching as well.
I have Two black Penedesencas chicks!

They are very cute too:

One egg may still be doing something so I left them in for another day.
I'm in love!!!
