Actually, it's just as much to keep the heat out during our 110+ summer heat waves and the cool in (aided by a cold water bottle or two). Cheers.

I am in great one way mental debat ! I am not going to mix my brown and blue eggs in this current incubator I have. not worth it. the penedesenca take longer to hatch and the blue eggs are hatching quick. It is messing with my incubating mojo. so should I set just dark eggs this week ? white empordanesa and crele penedesenca or should I get my silver ameraucana's from Jerry and set them for my Olive egger project? I really need to bump my numbers of the crele penedesenca as there is much demand plus my emp's need help too. I would like to have a few pens of each by the end of summer.. oh the mental pain Here is a Emp egg I gott yesterday

That is one beautiful shade of brown! Oh how I wish empathy were a bit more on the calm sweet side! Our flock has to "get along" we'll since snow and high predator rates limits free range possibilities half if the year... With that what do you think of this flock mix Buff orph Australorp (1) Newhampshire red (1) Leghorn (1) EE Crested cream legbar Golden Campine I will end up adding a second coop for breeding as I only want on roo.... Now I just have to pick the breeding breed! But then my crazy chicken brain thought I could just borrow a roo for a week and poof my bator will be full of whatever I want. Someone stop me!

I hatched out 7 SPPR a few days ago and have a few more on lockdown for this weekend. Just sayin..............LOL

Jason i could fit a tray (48-60) of eggs in the bator for you if you need it but I'm a bit far. Do they do OK with humidity in the 30's? I'm a bit far however.

Oh NOOOOOO! I'm so sorry. The eggs are very fresh, they will last another day. I hope you find them. If not, I can resend some. I will keep my figures crossed .

Good news! One of the eggs that I am incubating for Jason hatched! Both of the pipped eggs hatched but one of them is a Blue Wyandotte Bantam(I think). The Batam eggs is a bonus because I waited a long time to get these eggs.

Lets get more to hatch now!
