Sorry jason! I will go back and fix that post!

You have 5 out and when I candled, I saw an egg with a beak in the air cell! You may get 6. I only have 1 of the Blue Egg Layers and it hatched a bit ago. I also have 3 Bantams. I do not want them. Oh Well.

I should be able to get them to you tomorrow. Maybe meet at the Barnes and Noble in Natomas? I would love some of the White Emp eggs if you have some....

White emps and crele Penes are perfect. I have enough Olive Eggers for now.

I will let you know if the last one hatches.

I was checking on the hatch when I noticed Ducks hatching on the turner in the other incubator. I did not know when they were going to hatch because the came out from a duck.

I thought ducks took longer than chickens but ?

While in town yesterday I drove by a lawn equipment company. They had just received a shipment and had some really large crates available. Just an idea if anyone is looking for a quick broody box.

Welcome to my world Ron. I have about 30 eggs with only before x date on them. My broodies kept grabbing eggs. I was wondering where all the marans eggs were going!
Mossy I remembered what I was going to say to you. If you want to feed your girls greens try making a planter out of a cement tray. You put sprouted grass or grain in it and put a wire cover on top so they can't eat it all. Works great.
Jason you could but they isnt sexable at birthso they would be getting you extra boys!

Emma! Our EE. She is the suspected rooster. The other EE has almost no sign of a comb yet. But I still have hope for her.

Wow! With that coloring that has to be a rooster! He is just gorgeous!! With that much color at such a young age (it gets darker, brighter as they mature like his full brother) he is going to be stunning!!

Yes they do. The Farmer in Winters moved his Goats and they disturbed a duck setting on eggs. He brought them to me to incubate but I did not know how long they had been in the nest so had to guess when they would hatch. I had hoped they would not start until this one was over but of course they started now!

Cute little guys. I will get a picture!
