I really love this stuff!

Yay d'Anvers! He's so lovely.
In other news I took my 4 Sebright chicks into the backyard this afternoon and when my 10 lb. Italian Greyhound came out to sit in the sun with us the one little rooster, about 8 weeks old, made sure to stay between her and the hens at all times. So adorable! Sad I can't keep him due to city regulations, I sympathize with everyone else that has to give up roosters on here!
Also once it started getting dark, I put the chicks under a little heat lamp for a couple of hours before bedtime (I know they don't NEED to be kept warm at this point, but I am trying to keep them used to higher temperatures in preparation for the long summer of Central Valley 100 degree weather ahead) and one of the hens decided it would be a good idea to try to sun bathe by laying on her side...on her perch. Naturally she fell off, made a ruckus, climbed back on, and then kept at it! What silly creatures! I thought it was the cutest thing ever, but my boyfriend had a little bit of an eye-roll.
