California - Northern

That looks great Jason. You used the 6' fencing right? Hope you post pictures when you get netting on and coops in.
yes it is 6 ft no climb. I pulled it tight with my fence puller/come along. I also used 11" tent stakes between the posts to help keep it from getting pushed up from critters.
Yes pics will be coming as soon as they are in there.

We have a sod farm about 1/2 mile from us. I wish I could just roll out new grass for them, but since I don't know what chemicals they use on it I haven't.

We have two OEGB mixes and at least one BBS orp bantam chicks that hatched out so far. I'll mess with her agai this morning and I hope to find a partr.rock bantam under her.

The best news as far as DH is concerned, re-homed the 4 month old BLRW boy. Back down to only 5 guys crowing.

I am looking for German New Hampshires in CA. Had crappy luck with shipped chicks and eggs. $ or trades, PM and I can give you a run down of what I have.

I do have some GNH, but looking like mostly roos....so, it you need soe new blood I have it. From Back East (Coopers Coop) and New Mexico

Welcome! Can't help with those chicks but maybe someone will chime in.

now it just needs the coop but run #3 is all done except the netting which will happen next weekend

Awesome! I wish I had my run done! I will post a pic of my shoddy workmanship so far. Who dug your post holes? lol No post holes for me!

I am going to be using hardware cloth I guess for the run because mine won't be as big as yours. That and I have it already. I am trying to decide if I need to dig down and do the apron thing or if it is necessary? I would think tent stakes would be easier than burying the hardware cloth?

Where did you get your tent stakes? Were they very expensive?

You know you hatch too much if your temperature gauge isn't working so you just test the egg on your cheek to see if it is correct! Lol

So is it pretty much a for sure that chicks are boys if their combs are turning pink at 3 weeks? Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with the for sure Roosters at this age? Will anyone take them? Or do I have to wait until they are bigger?

Where has everybody gone on this thread? It has been really quiet for a week or so......

I was trying to upload photos of my coop progress and they are only uploading upside down or sideways. I haven't had that happen before. Any ideas?
