California - Northern

I totally just sat down to pee and it shook the whole toilet! lmbo! Next time I'll just hold it and see to the animals first. I have never ever ever in my life been on a toilet that moved. Like ever. That was the weirdest thing ever.
I must say...the visual on this is really kinda funny.......

One of the little Jaerhons that I just got is over the top agressive towards the other chicks. He seems to be obsessive compulsive about pecking at their eyes. I already have one chicks with a bloody eye and another with a bruised eye. I have never seen such an agressive chick. None of the other Jaerhons seem agressive so I think it is just the temperament of this one perticular bird. When I realized he/she could not live with the other chicks I considered culling it, but then I decided to stick it under a broody to see if she can teach it some manners. I kept in in a warm bator by itself all day and now it is in the barn with a very happy momma. I will be interested to see how this turns out.

I think I did the math wrong, its 50% of the chicks? Let me check
The chicks can get
4 genes 2 per parent
1 is blue/white
1 is white/white
So 1/2 the chicks will have the blue gene and have the blue shell and olive eggs.

But I could be wrong, I've had quite the day.

My hood popped up and smashed my windshield in early rush hour traffic in the carpiol lane. I had to pull over blind and going 70.

But I thin the math is right...
Wow, that is sooo scary. Glad to hear you are okay. That happened to me on the Bay Bridge when I was in high school. I was driving a VW bug and the hood flew open. Problem is... on the bugs the hood is the trunk so my clothes went flying all over the bridge and like a couple of teen dummies, my friend and I ran out into the lanes to get my clothes. Dummies.

ahhh photos of flame jaerhorn chicks please
Quote: do they ship ?

No I don't think so. I guess you will just have to come down to visit. Yes, I will get photo of the Jaerhons. I got both Flame and regular and I don't know which is which so I will get photos of both. The brabanters are super cute too.

We think we just felt an earth quake!

Yes, we felt it big. I can't believe how long it went! My chair started moving and I first thought it was the puppy hitting my chair but I heard her in the kitchen and I looked at my husband and said "it's an earthquake....and it's still going...and still going" I couldn't believe how long it went!

My son called and said it took him three times to get through, it kept saying all circuits are busy. I thought it was kinda cute at 32 he still wanted to call his mom! Both my kids were freaked out. My daughters husbands a firefighter and she loves the excitement of it all but she didn't like the earth shaking at all! Of course her husbands on duty.

Hope everyone was just rocked and nobody rolled.

My wife cracks up every time I tell of Vw stories on hwy 101. I worked in San Rafael at Yardbirds for a few years and lived in Petaluma in the mid 90's.
I called it VW alley.
You see I have seen every aspect of a Vw from normal to one that had blown up. ( no one hurt I believe)
usually they where broke down on the side of the road but sometimes on it. Once one broke down in front of me. Once one caught on fire in front of me. Numerous times they where on fire on the side of the road. They must of made alot of bugs and busses or they all worked there way to the north bay lol

on my fb page someone asked how hatchery birds that go broody compare to non hatchery for their motherliness. I told him I would ask you guys.

We didn't feel the quake but we are west of the Sacramento Valley.

Chiquita glad you are OK

zooeemama thanks for commenting on Curly. I think his life may be easier as a roo than as a hen so that is good news. Hysterical story of where you were when the quake struck!

Check out my Ca Grey girl. She likes me. She was on top of my head one time.
