I recently posted we had a cat again after 8 years She is such a little spitfire and a real joy.

DD agreed to take care of a friends kitten. It was taken in as a VERY young stray by a volunteer at the shelter. Later this morning I am taking her in to the vet. She has ear mites, dragging her bottom on the floor, throws up after drinking and we can't get her to eat. She was nuzzling my face yesterday and when she felt my eyelashes she was trying nurse! This baby needs special care and was just passed off. I don't mind the extra work but it would have been nice to pass the info. on with the kitten!

I love animals...It makes me crazy when I see bad pet owners....

I used to raise and show Siamese and Abyssinian Cats. Now I have two Bengal cats that are just for pets.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. Congrats to Molly on new kittens. I have a geriatric cat who still considers himself royalty. He is totally disgusted with our neighbor's inquisitive juvenile kitten. So no kittens for us while Harley reigns. He was labeled a feral cat by the SPCA and is about 16 years old. Loves sunning himself in the backyard. Is totally disinterested in the chicks at this point. They may rock his world as they grow.

We have 5 chicks, all between 7-8 weeks old. Tilly, Cream Legbar, is the friendliest so far. She loves to be near the action. Inga, the Jaerhon, is slightly smaller and a bit more independent, but equally inquisitive. Haven't given permanent names yet to the 3 bantam Cochins, Looks like the 2 fancies might be roos :-( But our plain Jane black is still un-rooster like. Molly says to be patient and wait, but I find it harder to keep from bonding with the two probable boys. I put an add on Craigslist for Blue last night, but will hold off on listing the Frizzle until s/he crows. Blue is so beautifully feathered and I wish I was wrong about his gender! Part of the owning chickens experience is dealing with the fact I'm in the city and cannot keep roosters. Crossing fingers, since he is already so handsome, that I'll actually find a proper home for him.

So how does that work? When I was little my dad used to take me there, I always thought it was so cool to see all the animals run around.

You Bring them and we can sell them for You. ** Next Sale Sunday May 16 ** Parking is free for Unloading from 5:30a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
