Lol I was in the car I couldn't quote.
Yes they are broody. And they are screaching puffy broodies too.
Danger! Serama broodies danger!!!

In fact I was in the car buying apricots! I got 2 boxes... So maybe 50 lbs?

I need some recipes! Hopefully for stuff that can be canned or dried or preserved so I can enjoy them later too!

Plus the chickens will get some tomorrow....

Can seramas be in a coop With lf or do they need banty room mates?

I have an ancient 13 oz serama roo. He couldn't get along in the serama pen with the other roos. His position in the flock was overthrown and he was getting beaten up. I needed another place for him and threw him in with my Icelandics. He lives with two big roosters and about 8 hens. He isn't much bigger than their heads.

He has been living fine with them for about 9 mos. He just wanders around the pen and goes into the coop with them at night.

I try to get 200 pounds in the freezer every year. One of my favorites is Reduced Sugar Apricot Jam, sells really well also I freeze pitted apricots in 24 oz. bags and vacuum seal.

To make straight apricot I use 2 bags, 6 cups apricots, easier to chop partly frozen.
2 tbs. lemon juice, 1 pkg. Sure Jell no sugar needed pectin, (pink box), 4 1/2 cups sugar.

I pit them and freeze them in zip lock bags--Then when I need to make Jam they are portioned out. I have 4 bags in the freezer for this year.

A friend of mine made apricot sorbet and brought it to the dog park today to share with the doggie owners! It was sooooo good!

What a dork I am. I read that as 4 - 1/2 cups of sugar. I thought what an odd measurement!!!! So 4 1/2 cups sugar is the reduced sugar version???? Wow!

Anyone grow the red rhubarb????
