That was my thought too, head furnishings and color, I just didn't say anything.

anyone ever mix 21% gamebird feed with 16% layer? having a hard time finding Nutrena 18% coloma feed has both of the above though. just not sure if you can use game bird food in the mix

thankee

Jason, I haven't tried it with the chickens, but all of our young waterfowl eat a mixture of turkey/game bird and chick start mixed half and half, along with chopped greens.

How many bags of feed do you usually buy at a time? Rich said Nutrena would deliver with a 5 pallet min. We could do one pallet, Linda said she would buy 3-4 bags. It doesn't have to be all poultry feed, but if we could account for close to 2 pallets per delivery, maybe he could get it in for us. A pallet would last us about 3.5 weeks, maybe 4 if I continue to cut down on the boys and slow down on the hatching.

Help! Is my RIR a roo?? I hatched IT in March & today it was making some funky noises. ????

Here is Dusty... I have one RIR hen & Dusty was looking a lot like her so I thought it was a hen, but today it was making some weird crowish sounds... Dusty is quite a bit taller than his/her sister that hatched at the same time.

I mix flock raiser with layer. I ferment my feed and add scratch and a bunch of other stuff too. When I tried using the gamebird starter/grower they didn't like it as much and left the "brown" stuff in the bottom of the feed trough. After that bag is gone I am going back to the Flock Raiser.
