Ya I'm running the fans like crazy for another hour.

AccuWeather said it did not cool down till around 6 am.

Mornin' everyone.

My welsummer broody surprised me with another egg hatching during the night. I had tapped on all of her eggs and didn't hear any cheeping, so I thought she was done but didn't have the time to check them. So now she has 2 wellie chicks. I candled the other 2 eggs and they were early quitters - some of the eggs were pretty old, so I expected that. She's now cozy in her own little area of the coop so nobody bothers her.

It is amazing right? Broodies just know it a chick is still going and will break them out if need be.

So my forecast is 108, 109 and 109 how horrible!

we where lucky here yesterday. it was 89 at my place. at 6:30
Diamond Springs was 104 when I switched the cars to grab my kids and take them to Folsom which was 109 except at the park and ride where the car said 110. it was amazing how much cooler it was here. Now it was probably warmer than 89 yesterday but it really cools down much quicker here
