California - Northern

It looks like they were intended to be auto sexing but the Breeder that made them died before getting them there:

The Isbars are not autosexing... if you mean better sexing qualities than gold/silver is providing?

Chicks just look like an average blue/black/splash birchen, this link has some nice pictures of Isbars of all ages

But there are quite some things which could cause the misunderstanding of them being an autosexing breed

translation bugs and all.

They were created by Martin Silverudd who also made the 55Flowerys which is an autosexing breed.

RIR, New Hampshires and Cream Crested Legbars were used to create them.

And there are some speculations about it that they were possibly intended to become an autosexing & colored egg breed. Silverudd did quite a lot of breeding into that direction. But they were still a work in progress when he died and there's no known documentation about what he had planned for them exactly.
Thanks Ron, I was hopeful but kinda figured this. I read a few different places and didn't find a definite "yes". So we will just go with it and see what they become Haha

I have a Partridge Penedesenca Breeding Quad!

I also have one Wheaten pullet.

Ya I remember you talking about them that why I was showing you, they're somewhat new to eBay though aren't they? I haven't seen them much. Pretty birds. Do you sell hatching eggs from yours?
I hope to sell hatching egg this spring. They are little guys now. The boy really is something though.

I will work on pictures today. The same pen has Horstman RIR pullets in it too.

Hey guys! Do any of you have chicks for sale this late in the year? We're looking to replenish our layers... I don't want production birds, just some decent laying breeds :)

I just lost the second laying hen this month :( she Was 8 and had a happy life though. she only had one working leg, so she was an easy target.

I have some breese probably pullets and a blue egg layer that is close to laying. I have a mille four leghorn but she's more pricy. I'm in San Jose but get to novato frequently.

We are droving to Lodi today it should be a great day for it!

Sorry about your hen.

I have pullets of various ages and some hens - Silver Gray Dorkings. I'll have some mature Delaware hens available in a month or so. I'm 50 miles NW of Sac. As layers only - no breeders because they do not meet Standard.

Barbara, you get first choice! I have some to choose from for you.

Would love to see pics of them! Here is an egg I've been getting this shape for about a month. It's from one of my silver laced wyandottes. Why is it like this? It's not soft just weird shaped.
